I had hoped to write this up sooner, but I’ve struggled with this post for a while now, because I still have trouble with the fact that Michael’s gone, and every time I sat down to write I was reminded of that. I have no idea whether Akismet the service will still be around in another 20 years, or whether I’ll still be around or writing code or maintaining this Python package in that case, but I’d like to think I’ve done my part to make sure it’s on sound footing to last that long, or longer.
